진천군농업기술센터, 지역 쌀 활용 ‘가루쌀 맥주 만들기’ 교육 운영

【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 농업기술센터는 지역 대표 쌀 품종인 ‘알찬미’를 활용해 우리 쌀 소비 촉진을 위한 ‘가루쌀 맥주 만들기’ 교육을 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 쌀 소비 감소로 어려움을 겪는 농가를 지원하고, 쌀의 새로운 가공 가능성을 알리기 위해 추진됐다.

군 농업기술센터는 지난 4월 23일 시작해 오는 5월 7일까지 총 3회에 걸쳐 진천군민 30명을 대상으로 교육을 진행 중이다.

특히 맥주 전문가인 와이모어크래프트연구소 김용현 대표가 강사로 참여해 맥주 기초 이론부터 심화 과정까지 교육을 진행한다.

교육생들은 직접 맥주를 제조하고 병입, 라벨링까지 체험하며 수제 맥주를 완성하게 된다.

교육에 참여한 군민들은 우리 쌀의 활용 가능성에 대한 이해를 높이고, 쌀이 다양한 가공식품으로 활용될 수 있다는 점에 큰 관심을 보이고 있다.

최진아 군 농촌지원과 주무관은 “앞으로도 우리 쌀을 활용한 다양한 가공 교육을 지속 추진해 쌀 소비 촉진과 농가 소득 증대에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
