진천군은 오는 8월 31일까지 지역의 발전과 사회봉사 등에 공헌한 군민 및 출향 인사를 발굴하기 위한 ‘제32회 진천군 군민대상’ 후보자를 공개 모집한다고 밝혔다.
모집 분야는 일반부문과 특별부문 두 가지로 나뉘어 추진된다. 일반부문은 공고일 기준 진천군에 5년 이상 주민등록을 두고 거주하는 주민 중 지역사회 발전, 사회봉사, 효행, 모범 청소년, 지역경제 및 문화체육 발전 등에 뚜렷한 공적이 있는 사람을 대상으로 한다. 특별부문은 거주지 제한 없이 진천 출신 향우나 연고가 있는 인사 중 지역 발전에 크게 기여한 인물이 대상이다.
후보자 추천은 각 읍·면장, 기관단체장, 학교장 등이 할 수 있으며, 추천서와 공적조서 등 관련 증빙서류를 작성해 접수 기한 내 진천군청 행정지원과로 방문하거나 우편으로 제출하면 된다. 군은 상의 상징성과 객관성을 높이기 위해 현지 실사와 심사위원회의 엄격한 심사를 거쳐 최종 수상자를 결정할 방침이다.
