▲ 제6회 합천남명뇌룡문화축제 개막
[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군 삼가면 용암서원에서 ‘제6회 합천남명뇌룡문화축제’가 24일 개막했다.
(사)용암서원보존회(회장 임장섭)가 주관한 이날 개막식에는 박민좌 경제문화국장, 성종태 복지행정위원장, 신경자 군의원 등 주요 인사와 지역 유림, 관광객 등 200여 명이 참석했다.
이번 축제는 4월 24일부터 5월 3일까지 10일간 열리며, 조선시대 유학자 조식 선생의 학덕과 정신을 기리고 다양한 전통문화 체험을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
개막일에는 시조창과 민요 공연에 이어 휘호대회 시상식이 진행됐으며, 25일에는 경상대학교 이상필 교수가 ‘남명 조식 인문학 특강’을 통해 선생의 사상을 조명했다.
축제 기간 동안 투호, 제기차기 등 전통놀이 체험과 함께 남명 선생의 어록 및 서예 작품 전시가 운영된다.
특히 27일에는 탄신 525주년을 맞아 향례를 봉행, 분향과 헌작, 축문 낭독 등 전통 유교 의례가 진행돼 의미를 더했다.
임장섭 회장은 “남명 조식 선생의 실천 중심 학문을 계승하고 그 가치를 현대에 알리는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
한편 합천남명뇌룡문화축제는 지역 대표 전통 인문·문화 행사로 자리 잡으며 해마다 관심을 모으고 있다.

Chairman Lim Jang-seop stated, "I hope this serves as an opportunity to carry on the practice-oriented scholarship of Nammyung Jo Sik and to make its value known to the modern era."
Meanwhile, the Hapcheon Nammyung Noeryong Cultural Festival has established itself as a representative regional traditional humanities and culture event, attracting attention every year.
