이날 행사에는 이동수 세계호남향우회총연합회장과 손재민 중국호남향우회 총연합회장을 비롯해 중국 내 13개 지역 향우회 임원 등 150여 명이 참석했다. 참석자들은 박람회의 성공을 기원하는 캠페인을 펼치며, 고향 방문객 유치와 대외 홍보에 앞장설 것을 결의했다.
지난 2013년 창설된 세계호남향우회총연합회는 현재 전 세계 27개국 65개 지회에서 호남 출신 재외동포들이 활동하고 있는 강력한 글로벌 네트워크다.
