South Jeolla Province Successfully Concludes ‘2026 Gwangju-Jeonnam Public Institutions Joint Recruitment Briefing for Local Talent’

40 Institutions Participated, Including KEPCO and Korea Rural Community Corporation… Practical Programs Enhanced with Mock Interviews – Providing Customized Recruitment Information and Consulting for Local University Students and Job Seekers

(Naju = Break News) Reporter Lee Hak-su = On the 30th, South Jeolla Province held the ‘2026 Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City Public Institutions Joint Recruitment Briefing for Local Talent’ at the Dongshin University Gymnasium, targeting university students and job seekers in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.

Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and organized by South Jeolla Province, this briefing was held on a large scale with the participation of a total of 40 institutions, including 13 public institutions that have relocated to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City, as well as corporations and government-funded agencies under local governments, financial institutions, and private companies.

The event was composed of diverse programs designed to provide practical recruitment information to local talents. The event received a great response, starting with a ‘2026 NCS Strategy Special Lecture’ by a star lecturer from the Korea Human Resources Development Service; followed by a ‘Talk Concert’ featuring HR managers from the Korea Agro-Fisheries Food Trade Corporation and the Korea Internet & Security Agency; and ‘Job Talk,’ where participants could hear firsthand advice from senior employees at major institutions such as the Korea Power Exchange and the Korea Rural Community Corporation.

In particular, the newly established ‘Mock Interview Program,’ organized by the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), the Korea Rural Community Corporation, and NH NongHyup, attracted significant attention this year. University and high school students hoping to find employment in public institutions and the financial sector had the opportunity to gain a sense of the real-world environment by experiencing a setting similar to actual interviews.

In addition, various side events were prepared at event booths within the venue to encourage students exhausted from job preparation and provide practical assistance, including career aptitude consulting, personal color diagnosis, job tarot readings, and a photo booth with acceptance messages.

Currently, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City is driving regional development as a hub in the fields of energy, agriculture and biotechnology, information and communication, and culture and arts. Relocated public institutions are also playing a leading role by linking with local industries and expanding the recruitment of local talent.

Kim Seong-hoon, Head of the Jeonnam Innovation City Support Team, stated, “We will continue to further strengthen collaboration with relocated public institutions,” adding, “We will do our utmost to provide comprehensive employment information and expand recruitment opportunities so that local talents can settle stably in Gwangju and Jeonnam.”
