이번 훈련은 전시나 테러, 대형 재난 등 국가적 비상사태를 가정해 민·관·군·경·소방 등 관계기관 인력 500여 명이 참여하며, 실전과 같은 환경에서 대응 태세를 강화하는 데 목적을 두고 있다.
음성군은 본격적인 연습에 앞서 지난 12일 조병옥 군수와 간부 공무원 등이 참석한 준비 상황보고회를 열어 부서별 추진 목표와 준비 사항을 공유하고 상호 협조 체계를 점검한 바 있다.
올해 연습 기간에는 전시 대비 도상훈련과 주요 과제 토의를 비롯해 전시 종합상황실 가동을 통한 행정기관 소산 훈련, 대규모 재난·테러 대응 모의 훈련, 공습 대피 민방위훈련 등이 차례로 진행된다.
