The Woomi Hope Foundation (Chairman Lee Seok-jun) announced that it held the ‘Blue Lighthouse Woomi Hope Foundation Donation Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony’ jointly with the Korea Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Park Chang-dal) on the 29th.

The event, held at the Korea Scholarship Foundation’s Seoul office, was attended by Park Dan-ho, Head of the Youth Support Division at the Korea Scholarship Foundation, Lee Chun-seok, Secretary General of the Woomi Hope Foundation, and the scholarship recipients.

The ‘Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship’ is part of the ‘Woomi Fellowship,’ a flagship scholarship program of the Woomi Hope Foundation. Every year, the foundation selects a total of 50 students through the Korea Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarships: 20 university students from families affected by industrial accidents and 30 university students from single-person households facing housing insecurity.

The scholarship recipients selected this time will receive an annual scholarship of 5 million won per person. Lee Chun-seok, Secretary General of the Umi Hope Foundation, stated, “I hope that young people burdened with both their studies and livelihoods can lighten their load, even for a moment, and focus on their dreams,” adding, “I look forward to this scholarship serving as a small stepping stone of hope for young people nurturing their dreams.”

Meanwhile, the Umi Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2006 with contributions from Umi Construction.
