[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 한국전쟁 전후 사천지역에서 희생된 민간인들을 추모하는 제17회 합동위령제가 21일 사천왕사에서 열렸다.

사천유족회가 주최한 이번 위령제는 한국전쟁 전후 억울하게 희생된 민간인의 넋을 기리고 유족들을 위로하기 위해 마련됐다. 올해로 17회째를 맞았으며 시민과 유족 등 50여 명이 참석했다.

행사는 추도사와 헌화, 분향에 이어 희생자들의 극락왕생을 기원하는 천도재 등 종교의식 순으로 진행됐다.

김유자 사천유족회장은 "억울하게 희생된 영령들이 위로받는 시간이 되길 바란다"며 "과거의 비극을 잊지 않고 같은 일이 반복되지 않도록 함께 노력해야 한다"고 말했다.
