Boeun County Signs Consignment Agreement with Hoein Co., Ltd. for the Operation of Youth Village Shared Housing

Boeun County signed a consignment agreement with Hoein Co., Ltd. at the County Office for the operation of the Youth Village Shared Housing and has commenced full-scale operations aimed at facilitating the stable settlement of young people in the region and restoring local vitality. The signing ceremony was attended by officials including Boeun County Governor Choi Jae-hyung and CEO Kim Han-sol, who reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation for the successful operation of the Youth Village Shared Housing and support for youth settlement.

The Youth Village Shared Housing is a youth residential facility established in Jungang-ri, Hoein-myeon, featuring six accommodation buildings and one community facility. It is characterized by being designed as a settlement base where young people can take root in the region, not only by providing stable living spaces but also by facilitating interaction with local residents and linking them to entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. Under this agreement, Hoein Co., Ltd. will be responsible for the overall operation of the shared housing, tenant management, fee collection, and maintenance of facilities and equipment until December 2028. Meanwhile, Boeun County plans to provide administrative support and project management to ensure stable facility operations and assist young residents.

Since 2023, Hoein Co., Ltd., the entrusted organization, has operated "Rider Town Hoein," a project supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Youth Village Creation Support Program. Through initiatives such as the Wheelers Festival, the Friday-Sunday Camp, and local branding projects, the company has strived to attract young people, expand the resident population, and revitalize the local community. Based on this operational experience, expectations are high that the shared housing will be stably established in the region and operated as a hub connecting youth with the local community.

The County intends to operate the shared housing not merely as a residential facility, but as a complex hub where young people can live, work, and grow alongside residents. By continuously promoting locally based startups, job linkages, and community programs, the county plans to support the stable settlement of young people and create a youth settlement model that fosters mutual growth with the local community. The Youth Village Shared Housing is available to young adults aged 18 to 45. Residents can stay for up to four years through a one-time extension after an initial two-year period.

CEO Kim Han-sol expressed his hope that the Youth Village Shared Housing would serve as a stable living space for young people and a starting point for growth alongside the local community. He stated that, based on the experience accumulated through the Youth Village project, he would do his utmost to create a space where young people want to stay and a community that grows together with the residents.

Following this, Boeun County Governor Choi Jae-hyung emphasized that the future of a region lies where young people reside. He pledged active support to ensure the Youth Village Shared Housing establishes itself as a successful youth settlement model that provides a stable foundation for life and a space for new challenges for young adults, while adding sustainable vitality to the region.
