Visited Hefei and Harbin, China for 4 Nights and 5 Days… Signed MOU and $5 Million Investment Agreement
- Held Investment Discussions with Global Companies Including Goshen Tech… Led to On-site Visits to the Gwangyang Bay Area
(Muan/Gwangyang = Break News) Reporter Lee Hak-su = The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (hereinafter Gwangyang FEZ Authority) has achieved significant results in attracting investment, including signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and an investment agreement, during a visit to China’s Anhui and Heilongjiang provinces.
The Gwangyang FEZ Authority announced that during its five-day visit to Hefei in Anhui Province and Harbin in Heilongjiang Province from May 11 to 15, it signed one MOU and one MOU, and identified a large number of potential investment companies in the secondary battery and consumer goods sectors. Through these investment attraction activities, the Gwangyang Free Economic Zone Authority (GFEZ) achieved two significant results: signing a strategic business agreement with the Anhui Association of Scientists and Entrepreneurs, and concluding a $5 million expansion investment agreement with Osung Industrial.
In addition, the Authority held in-depth investment discussions with global companies in the consumer goods sector, including Goshen Tech, a leading Chinese secondary battery manufacturer. Through these efforts, the Authority secured site visits to the Gwangyang Bay area and confirmed investment reviews from these companies, resulting in a substantial expansion of its network for potential future investors.
The GFEZ plans to promptly facilitate site visits to the Gwangyang Bay area by the potential investors identified through these activities. Furthermore, it intends to continue additional investment consultations with member companies of the Anhui Association of Scientists and Entrepreneurs who are interested in expanding overseas. The Authority will further strengthen administrative support to ensure Osung Industrial's expansion proceeds without setbacks and will continue its efforts to identify additional foreign investment opportunities in the consumer goods sector. "Gwangyang Free Economic Zone Authority (GFEZ) Commissioner Gu Chung-gon stated, 'This five-day investment attraction trip to China was a fruitful activity that laid the foundation for global investment cooperation and achieved tangible investment agreement results in the consumer goods sector.' He emphasized, 'We will do our utmost to provide follow-up management and customized incentives to ensure that the potential companies identified in the energy, high-tech manufacturing, and consumer goods sectors lead directly to actual investment in the Gwangyang Bay area.'
Meanwhile, during their schedule on the 14th, the GFEZ investment delegation held a 'GFEZ Investment Briefing' in Harbin, China, for company officials from Heilongjiang Province, actively promoting the excellent location conditions and differentiated investment incentives of the Gwangyang Bay area.
