He was also wearing a neck brace when talking with the KBS team and the bruise around his right eye was clearly visible.
He was reportedly injured during the explosion and was treated urgently right after the ship arrived in Dubai.
The Korean sailor politely declined to be interviewed and simply said that he is healthy and doing well.
Vessel operator HMM explained that they learned of the sailor's injury on May 6th but didn't make it public since it wasn't serious enough to require hospitalization.
A Filipino crew member also refrained from saying much about the explosion.

I don’t know about the explosion because I was in a coffee break time. I told my family I’ll stay at the hotel for relax.
The crew members are staying at a hotel in downtown Dubai while commuting to the ship to help with post-accident management.
As Korean government investigators found that the cargo vessel was struck by an unidentified flying object, HMM plans to schedule repairs after inspections to learn more details about the damaged area are carried out.
According to the ship operator company, all twenty-four crew members will board the Namu again and wait in international waters once the repair is over.
