CJ Olive Young to host K-beauty festival in Japan in May

South Korean beauty retailer CJ Olive Young Corp. announced on Monday that it will host the Olive Young Festa Japan in Chiba Prefecture from May 8 to 10.

Olive Young Festa is Korea’s first beauty festival launched by Olive Young in 2019, and starting this year, it is expanding overseas.

This event, held in conjunction with KCON Japan 2026, will take place at Makuhari Messe, a convention center in Chiba, and will span an area of 164 pyeong (542 square meters).

A total of 55 brands will set up booths, and the walking paths will be designed to resemble the streets of Myeong-dong and Hongdae in Seoul.

Dedicated zones—including a K-Beauty Select Zone—will showcase Olive Young’s product curation, while interactive services will allow visitors to experience in-store offerings.

“This event, which opens the Olive Young Festa world tour, will be an important milestone in expanding the global K-beauty fandom as local customers experience K-beauty in a more immersive way,” said a company official.

CJ Olive Young also plans to hold another Olive Young Festa in Los Angeles, the United States, in September.
