올해 슬로건은 “차오르는 설렘, 하동에서”이다. 지리산 자락 천년 야생차의 깊은 향기 속에서 설렘과 감동이 차오르는 특별한 경험을 선사하겠다는 의지를 담았다.
올해 축제는 전통과 트렌드가 어우러진 대표 콘텐츠로 조선 후기 차 문화 부흥의 두 거장, 초의선사와 추사 김정희의 차를 매개로 한 우정을 담아낸 마당극이 관객들에게 깊은 울림을 전할 예정이다.
