[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함안군이 오는 8월 8일 함안박물관과 말이산고분군 일원에서 '제7회 말이산 별축제'를 개최한다.
말이산 별축제는 가야 최초의 별자리가 확인된 말이산 13호분의 역사적 의미를 알리고, 별과 역사·문화를 함께 체험할 수 있도록 마련된 함안군 대표 문화행사다.
축제에서는 별자리 교육과 체험, 미션 프로그램, 천체망원경을 활용한 별 관측 체험이 진행된다. 저녁에는 퓨전국악 공연과 마술, LED 퍼포먼스 등으로 구성된 별빛콘서트도 열린다.
행사는 함안박물관 여름방학 프로그램인 '말이산 게임'과 연계해 운영된다. 8일부터 9일까지 이틀간 진행되는 말이산 게임은 영화 '왕과 사는 남자'를 모티브로 한 참여형 프로그램으로, '무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다', 줄넘기, 물총놀이, 만들기 체험 등 다양한 놀이를 즐길 수 있다.
함안군은 이번 축제를 통해 세계유산 말이산고분군의 역사·문화적 가치와 천문학적 의미를 알리고, 가족 단위 방문객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 여름 문화행사로 운영할 계획이다.
