충북도의회 과학경제위원회는 25일 도의회를 찾은 중국 헤이룽장성 인민대표대회 대표단과 간담회를 열고 양 지역 간의 우호 증진과 다각적인 교류 협력 확대 방안을 집중적으로 협의했다.
이번에 방문한 대표단은 한자빈 민족화교외사위원회 주임을 단장으로 총 6명으로 구성됐다. 대표단은 본격적인 간담회에 앞서 이상식 충북도의회 의장을 예방하고, 지난 2001년 우호교류 협정을 체결한 이후 25년간 쌓아온 끈끈한 신뢰를 재확인하는 한편 지속적인 교류를 이어가기로 뜻을 모았다.
이어진 과학경제위원회와의 간담회 자리에서는 충청북도와 헤이룽장성의 경제·산업 현황을 공유하고 양 지역의 강점을 살린 구체적인 협력 체계 구축 방안이 다각도로 논의됐다.
간담회를 주재한 임동현 충북도의회 과학경제위원장은 충북도의회와 헤이룽장성 인민대표대회가 긴 시간 쌓아온 우정과 신뢰를 기반으로 향후 더욱 활발한 소통이 이어지기를 기대한다며, 이번 접견이 양 지역 간의 이해를 넓히고 다양한 영역에서 실질적인 교류와 협력을 확장하는 계기가 되기를 바란다고 밝혔다.
중국 헤이룽장성 대표단은 오는 28일까지 충북에 머물며 진천 스마트팜 현장과 청남대, 충북기업진흥원 등을 차례로 방문해 지역의 선진 산업 및 문화 시설을 둘러볼 예정이다.
한편 양 의회는 2001년 협정 체결 이후 꾸준한 교류를 이어오고 있으며, 지난해 8월 충북도의회 대표단이 헤이룽장성을 방문한 데 이어 이번 상호 방문을 통해 견고한 협력관계를 입증했다.
