충청북도교육청은 지난 28일부터 진행된 고등학생 과정에 이어, 30일부터 31일까지 단양 소노벨 WEST 타워에서 단양 및 인근 지역 중학생 30여 명을 대상으로 '2026 찾아가는 진로·진학 꿈틀캠프' 중학생 과정을 진행한다.
이번 캠프는 지난 4월 열린 단양군 학부모 정책간담회에서 제시된 지역 맞춤형 진로 지원 요청을 적극적으로 수용해 마련됐다. 충북교육 대입지원단과 연계해 기획된 프로그램은 학생 스스로 적성과 관심 분야를 찾고 구체적인 진로 방향을 설정할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
참가 학생들은 진로 및 탐구 비전 특강을 이수한 뒤 관심 분야를 선정해 주제탐구 보고서를 작성하고, 팀별 발표와 피드백을 주고받는 과정을 거친다. 이어 진행되는 선언식에서는 각자의 목표와 향후 실천 계획을 다짐한다. 캠프에 참여한 한 학생은 처음 참여해 본 캠프였지만 탐구 활동을 통해 평소 무엇에 관심이 있는지 구체적으로 알게 됐다며 또래 친구들에게도 꼭 권하고 싶다고 소감을 밝혔다.
학부모를 위한 프로그램도 병행된다. 고교학점제와 진로 설계를 주제로 한 특강과 함께 충북교육감 및 대입지원단이 참석하는 소통 간담회가 열려 변화하는 입시 제도와 교육환경에 대한 이해를 돕는다.
충북교육감은 중학생 시기에는 서둘러 직업이나 대학을 정하기보다 자신이 좋아하고 잘하는 것을 찾아가는 과정이 더 중요하다며, 앞으로도 지역으로 찾아가는 프로그램을 늘려 학생들이 주도적으로 꿈을 설계할 수 있도록 아낌없이 지원하겠다고 강조했다.
