【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도 청주의료원이 거동이 불편한 지역 어르신들의 가정을 직접 찾아가 맞춤형 의료와 돌봄 서비스를 제공하는 공공의료 인프라를 확충했다.
청주의료원은 보건복지부가 주관하는 '장기요양 재택의료센터 시범사업' 운영기관으로 신규 지정되어 본격적인 사업 운영에 착수했다.
이번에 도입된 장기요양 재택의료센터는 만성질환이나 거동 불편 등으로 병원 방문이 어려운 장기요양보험 수급자를 대상으로 운영된다. 의사, 간호사, 사회복지사 등으로 꾸려진 다학제 전담팀이 대상자의 집을 직접 찾아가 방문진료와 건강 관리, 복약 지도, 방문간호를 실시하고, 필요한 지역사회 돌봄 서비스까지 연계해 주는 통합형 의료 지원 체계다.
청주의료원은 찾아가는 재택의료 서비스를 통해 어르신들이 익숙한 거주 환경에서 안심하고 치료와 돌봄을 동시에 받을 수 있도록 적극 지원할 방침이다. 특히 기존 병원 중심의 치료 한계를 벗어나 지역사회로 직접 발을 넓힘으로써 의료 취약계층을 위한 공공보건의료 기능을 대폭 끌어올릴 것으로 기대를 모은다.
