Previously, the Chungbuk Living Research Institute under the RISE Project Group of Cheongju University and the Chungbuk Citizens Media Center signed a business agreement last May with the goal of developing local media content and strengthening the media literacy of provincial residents. Starting with this camp, both organizations plan to actively share facilities and human and material resources necessary for media education and continuously expand media education programs for local youth.
An official from Cheongju University stated that this Rookie Camp will serve as a meaningful stepping stone for Chungbuk youth to realize their dreams in the media field and cultivate practical production skills. The official further announced that the university will actively work to discover and nurture aspiring local creators who will lead Chungbuk's future cultural content industry, based on collaboration among local institutions, industry, academia, and research. An official from the Chungbuk Viewer Media Center also expressed that it is meaningful to provide local youth with practical content production experience by utilizing the center's professional infrastructure and educational resources, and stated that they will continue to cooperate closely with Cheongju University to provide unwavering support for the revitalization of media education in the Chungbuk region.
