이 사람처럼 자연스러운 대화가 가능한 차량용 음성 AI 에이전트 ‘글레오 AI(Gleo AI)’ 기술을 공개했다.
현대자동차그룹 글로벌 소프트웨어 센터인 포티투닷은 지난 2024년부터 개발해 온 LLM(대규모 언어모델) 기반 차량용 AI 에이전트 ‘글레오 AI’를 현대자동차 ‘더 뉴 그랜저’를 통해 처음 선보였다고 21일 밝혔다.
글레오 AI는 단순 명령 수행 수준을 넘어 차량 환경과 대화 맥락, 주행 상황 등을 종합적으로 이해해 사용자 의도를 파악하고 기능을 실행하는 것이 특징이다. 내비게이션 목적지 설정, 공조 제어, 차량 기능 조작 등 다양한 기능을 음성만으로 수행할 수 있다.
이 시스템은 이해·판단·응답 생성 등 목적에 따라 다양한 LLM을 선택적으로 활용하는 구조를 채택해 성능과 유연성을 동시에 확보했다.

“인지-판단-실행”… 차량 특화 AI 구조 구현
글레오 AI는 ▲LLM 인텔리전스 ▲하이브리드 AI 아키텍처 ▲스피치 인텔리전스 ▲글레오 인터페이스 등을 기반으로 차량 환경에 특화된 ‘인지-판단-실행’ 전 과정을 수행한다. 저지연성과 안정성이 중요한 차량 제어 기능은 온디바이스 환경에서 처리하고, 고성능 연산이 필요한 작업은 클라우드 기반으로 수행하는 하이브리드 구조도 적용했다.
또 최신 LLM 기반 TTS(Text-To-Speech) 기술을 활용해 자연스러운 음성을 구현했으며, 발화자의 좌석 위치와 차량 상태를 반영해 기능을 다르게 수행하는 것도 가능하다.
특히 웹 검색과 자체 데이터 컬렉션 기반의 ‘지식 에이전트(Knowledge Agent)’를 통해 최신 외부 정보를 실시간으로 탐색·재구성해 제공한다는 점도 특징이다.
신뢰성 강화를 위해 자체 개발한 ‘가드레일 에이전트’도 적용했다. 위험 발화나 법규 위반 요청은 사전에 제한하며, 차량 제어 요청 역시 안전 상황을 확인한 뒤 동작하도록 설계했다.
박민우 포티투닷 대표는 “글레오 AI는 사용자의 수고를 덜어주는 이동 동반자로 발전해 나갈 것”이라며 “향후에는 사용자의 행동과 선호를 이해해 말하지 않아도 필요한 것을 돕는 개인화 AI로 고도화할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Gleo AI is characterized by its ability to go beyond simple command execution and comprehensively understand the vehicle environment, conversational context, and driving conditions to grasp user intent and execute functions. Various functions, such as setting navigation destinations, controlling the climate system, and operating vehicle features, can be performed using only voice commands.
This system secures both performance and flexibility by adopting a structure that selectively utilizes various LLMs depending on the purpose, such as understanding, judgment, and response generation.

“Perception-Judgment-Execution”… Implementation of Vehicle-Specific AI Structure
Gleo AI performs the entire 'perception-judgment-execution' process specialized for the automotive environment, based on LLM Intelligence, Hybrid AI Architecture, Speech Intelligence, and Gleo Interfaces. It also employs a hybrid structure where vehicle control functions, critical for low latency and stability, are processed on-device, while tasks requiring high-performance computation are executed on a cloud-based basis.
In addition, it utilizes the latest LLM-based Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology to produce natural-sounding speech, and it is also possible to perform different functions by reflecting the speaker's seat position and vehicle status.
In particular, it is also characterized by the fact that it explores and reconstructs the latest external information in real time through a 'Knowledge Agent' based on web search and proprietary data collections.
To enhance reliability, a proprietary 'Guardrail Agent' has also been applied. It restricts requests for dangerous ignition or regulatory violations in advance, and is designed to activate vehicle control requests only after verifying safety conditions.

現代自動車グループのグローバルソフトウェアセンターであるフォーティトゥードは、2024年から開発してきたLLM（大規模言語モデル）ベースの車両用AIエージェント「グレオAI」を現代自動車「The New Granger」を通じて初めて披露したと21日明らかにした。
グレオAIは、単純なコマンド実行レベルを超えて車両環境と会話の文脈、走行状況などを総合的に理解し、ユーザーの意図を把握して機能を実行することが特徴だ。ナビゲーション先設定、空調制御、車両機能操作など、様々な機能を音声のみで行うことができる。
このシステムは理解・判断・応答生成など目的に応じて多様なLLMを選択的に活用する構造を採用し、性能と柔軟性を同時に確保した。

“感知-判断-执行”……车辆专用人工智能结构的实现
Gleo AI 基于 LLM 智能、混合 AI 架构、语音智能和 Gleo 接口，执行专为汽车环境量身定制的“感知-判断-执行”完整流程。它采用混合架构，其中对低延迟和稳定性至关重要的车辆控制功能在设备端处理，而需要高性能计算的任务则在云端执行。
此外，它还利用最新的基于LLM的文本转语音（TTS）技术来产生自然流畅的语音，并且还可以根据说话者的座位位置和车辆状态来执行不同的功能。
尤其值得一提的是，它通过基于网络搜索和专有数据收集的“知识代理”实时探索和重建最新的外部信息。
为了提高可靠性，我们还应用了一种专有的“护栏代理”。它会预先限制危险点火或违反法规的请求，并且只有在验证安全条件后才会激活车辆控制请求。
FortyTwoDot 首席执行官朴敏宇表示：“Gleo AI 将发展成为减轻用户负担的出行伴侣。”他补充道：“未来，我们计划将其发展成为能够理解用户行为和偏好的个性化人工智能，无需用户告知即可提供所需服务。”

L'intelligence artificielle de Gleo se distingue par sa capacité à aller au-delà de la simple exécution de commandes et à comprendre en profondeur l'environnement du véhicule, le contexte conversationnel et les conditions de conduite afin de saisir l'intention de l'utilisateur et d'exécuter des fonctions. « Perception-Jugement-Exécution »… Mise en œuvre d’une structure d’IA spécifique au véhicule
Gleo AI prend en charge l'intégralité du processus « perception-jugement-exécution », spécifiquement adapté à l'environnement automobile, grâce à LLM Intelligence, une architecture d'IA hybride, l'intelligence vocale et les interfaces Gleo. Elle utilise également une structure hybride où les fonctions de contrôle du véhicule, essentielles pour une faible latence et une grande stabilité, sont traitées sur l'appareil, tandis que les tâches nécessitant des calculs haute performance sont exécutées dans le cloud.
De plus, il utilise la toute dernière technologie de synthèse vocale (TTS) basée sur LLM pour produire une parole au son naturel, et il est également possible d'effectuer différentes fonctions en tenant compte de la position du siège de l'utilisateur et de l'état du véhicule.
Elle se caractérise notamment par le fait qu'elle explore et reconstruit en temps réel les informations externes les plus récentes grâce à un « agent de connaissances » basé sur la recherche Web et des collections de données propriétaires.
Pour une fiabilité accrue, un système propriétaire, le « Guardrail Agent », a également été mis en œuvre. Ce système bloque les demandes d'allumage dangereux ou d'infractions réglementaires et est conçu pour n'activer les commandes du véhicule qu'après vérification des conditions de sécurité.
Park Min-woo, PDG de FortyTwoDot, a déclaré : « Gleo AI évoluera en un compagnon de mobilité qui réduira la charge pesant sur les utilisateurs », ajoutant : « À l'avenir, nous prévoyons de la faire évoluer vers une IA personnalisée qui comprend le comportement et les préférences de l'utilisateur afin de fournir ce dont il a besoin sans qu'on le lui dise. »
