Jeungpyeong County Conducts Practical Crisis Management Manual Training
On the 24th, Jeungpyeong County, North Chungcheong Province, held a crisis management manual training session at the County Office's main conference room, inviting Professor Son A-rong from the National Disaster and Safety Education Institute.
Approximately 60 people attended the training, including Acting County Governor Kim Du-hwan, bureau directors, department heads, and working-level staff.
This training was organized to proactively respond to increasingly complex and diverse disasters, such as climate crises, infectious diseases, and daily life safety accidents.
The training focused on enhancing the on-site response capabilities of working-level staff by systematically reviewing the entire response process, including establishing inter-departmental collaboration systems, initial situation assessment, and rapid reporting and dissemination.
Taking this training as an opportunity, the County plans to further elevate the disaster response capabilities of all employees while continuously upgrading its crisis response system through repeated drills and inspections. A county official stated, “As speed and accuracy are vital in disaster response, systematic education and training during normal times are of the utmost importance,” adding, “We will continue to build an effective response system to realize a safe Jeungpyeong where residents can feel secure 365 days a year.”
Meanwhile, the county has proven its stable safety capabilities externally, having achieved Grade 1 in three categories—fire, daily life safety, and infectious diseases—in the 2025 Regional Safety Index organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and being selected as an excellent institution in disaster management evaluations for five consecutive years.
