【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군 김득신배움학교 학습자들이 각종 문해 공모전과 대회에서 잇따라 상을 받으며 늦깎이 배움의 결실과 감동을 전하고 있다.
대한민국 문해의 달을 맞아 27일 청주 오스코에서 열린 ‘2026년 충북 문해한마당’ 행사에서는 그동안 펼쳐진 전국 성인문해 시화전과 그림책·동화책 공모전 시상식이 함께 진행됐다.
김득신배움학교 학습자들은 글과 그림, 노래로 자신의 삶과 배움의 희열을 담아냈으며, 그 결과 전국 성인문해 시화전 부문에서 충북도지사상, 충북교육감상, 충북인평원장상 등을 휩쓸며 배움의 값진 성과를 입증했다.
또한 ‘알리고 싶은 우리지역 이야기’를 주제로 한 그림책·동화책 공모전에서도 ‘백번, 천번, 만번, 우리는 또 다른 김득신’이 대상을 차지한 것을 비롯해 최우수상과 우수상을 독식하며 증평군 문해 교육의 뛰어난 역량을 보여줬다. 행사 현장에서 개최된 전국 성인문해 노래자랑 대회에서도 김득신배움학교 팀이 본선에 올라 당당히 무대를 선보여 관객들의 호응을 얻었다.
증평군 관계자는 인터뷰에서 "어르신들이 늦은 나이에 시작한 배움이 삶을 긍정적으로 바꾸고 자신감을 얻는 계기가 되어 지역사회 전체에 큰 감동을 선사하고 있다"며 "앞으로도 성인 문해 학습자들이 배움의 기쁨을 누리고 자신의 이야기를 마음껏 펼칠 수 있도록 지속적인 교육 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 말했다.
한편 이번 공모에서 선정된 그림책 수상작들은 향후 충북 문해성과 공유회를 통해 도내 전역에 전시되어 지역사회와 함께 공유될 예정이다.
