Jecheon City, Local School Parents' Association Donates Funds for Underprivileged Children

On the 19th, the former executives of the Jecheon City School Parents' Association visited Jecheon City Hall and donated 1 million won to support underprivileged children and youth in the region.

This donation was raised by combining the remaining membership dues from the former executives' term with funds voluntarily collected by the members. The donated funds are scheduled to be delivered to local families in desperate need of support through the Chungbuk Community Chest of Korea.

Former President Yoon Ah-ran stated that they gathered their intentions to provide a small contribution to local children and youth growing up in difficult circumstances, expressing hope that this act of sharing will serve as a tangible source of strength for neighbors in need.

A Jecheon City official also expressed gratitude for the warm act of sharing shown to students in difficult environments and pledged to ensure the donated funds are properly distributed to those in need. Meanwhile, the Jecheon City School Parents' Association, composed of representatives from parent associations of 45 schools within Jecheon City, has been continuing inter-school exchanges, cooperation on local educational issues, and volunteer activities. The association, which has been continuously donating scholarships to the Jecheon City Talent Development Foundation since 2021, plans to carry out support activities in various aspects, including event operations and safety management, during this year's Jecheon International Music Film Festival.
