유한양행 창업자 고(故) 유일한 박사의 삶과 애국정신을 담은 창작 뮤지컬 ‘스윙데이즈_암호명 A’가 재연 무대에서도 흥행을 이어가고 있다.
유한양행은 뮤지컬 ‘스윙데이즈_암호명 A’가 지난 4월 16일 충무아트센터 대극장에서 재연 공연의 막을 올린 이후 인터파크 티켓 예매율 상위권을 유지하고 있다고 22일 밝혔다.
이 작품은 유한양행 창업자 유일한 박사의 실화와 일제강점기 비밀 첩보작전인 ‘냅코 프로젝트(NAPKO Project)’를 모티브로 제작됐다. 미국에서 성공한 사업가였지만 조국 독립을 위해 OSS(미국 전략정보국) 비밀요원 ‘암호명 A’로 활동한 조선인 사업가 ‘유일형’의 이야기를 스펙터클하게 풀어냈다.
대본은 영화 ‘실미도’의 김희재 작가가 맡았으며, 뮤지컬 ‘데스노트’, ‘웃는 남자’ 등에 참여한 세계적인 작곡가 제이슨 하울랜드(Jason Howland)가 음악을 담당했다. 여기에 김문정 음악감독이 합류해 작품의 몰입도를 끌어올렸다.
재연 무대의 흥행에는 화려한 캐스팅도 한몫했다. 주인공 ‘유일형’ 역에는 초연에 참여했던 유준상과 신성록에 이어 박은태가 새롭게 합류했다.
