이날 발대식에는 정준호 국회의원과 최무송 북구의회 의장을 비롯한 정치권 인사들과 지역 주민 300여 명이 참석해 성황을 이뤘다. 특히 신수정 북구청장 후보를 포함해 이번 지방선거에 출마하는 더불어민주당 시·구의원 후보들이 대거 집결해 세를 과시했다.
