신용보증기금은 KB국민은행, 한국콘텐츠진흥원과 'K-콘텐츠 생산적 금융지원 업무협약'을 체결했다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 정부의 생산적 금융 정책 기조에 맞춰 방송, 영화, 공연 등 문화콘텐츠 산업 전반의 자금 선순환 구조를 구축하고 콘텐츠 기업의 안정적인 성장을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다는 게 회사 측 설명이다.
협약에 따라 한국콘텐츠진흥원은 경쟁력 있는 K-콘텐츠 기업을 발굴해 신용보증기금에 추천하고, KB국민은행은 관련 금융 지원 재원으로 10억 원을 특별 출연한다.
신용보증기금은 이를 기반으로 콘텐츠 기업의 기획, 제작, 사업화 등에 필요한 자금을 지원하기 위해 총 200억 원 규모의 보증을 공급할 계획이다.
지원 대상은 방송·영화·공연 등 문화콘텐츠 산업 관련 기업이다. 콘텐츠 제작사는 물론 저작재산권과 상표권 등 콘텐츠 지식재산권(IP)을 활용하는 기업도 포함된다.
특히 신용보증기금은 특별출연 협약보증을 통해 금융 부담 완화에 나선다. 지원 기업에는 최초 3년간 보증비율 100%를 적용하고, 보증료율도 0.5%포인트 차감하는 우대 혜택을 제공할 예정이다.
신용보증기금 관계자는 "이번 협약이 문화콘텐츠 기업들이 금융 부담을 덜고 성장에 집중할 수 있는 기반이 되길 기대한다"며 "앞으로도 K-콘텐츠 산업 육성을 위한 금융 지원을 지속 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
