AI 경쟁의 축이 ‘모델 성능’에서 ‘맥락 이해’로 이동하는 가운데, 이를 해결하려는 스타트업이 등장했다. AI 메모리 솔루션을 개발하는 셀론이 프라이머와 더벤처스로부터 시드 투자를 유치했다고 밝혔다.
셀론은 만 18세 장준하 대표가 단독 창업한 기업으로, 지난 3년간 제품 개발과 창업 경험을 바탕으로 실제 사용자 문제 해결에 집중해왔다.
“AI는 무엇을 기억하느냐가 성능을 좌우한다”
셀론이 개발 중인 ‘Memory.inc’는 다양한 채팅, 문서, 코드, 메일 등 여러 서비스에 흩어진 데이터를 연결해 AI가 더 정교한 답변과 판단을 할 수 있도록 돕는 ‘메모리 레이어’ 기술이다.
단순 저장을 넘어, 정보의 맥락과 활용 흐름을 함께 축적해 AI가 필요한 순간 적절한 데이터를 불러오고 이를 기반으로 답변할 수 있도록 설계된 것이 특징이다. 이를 통해 사용할수록 AI의 판단 근거가 강화되는 구조를 지향한다.
현재 업무 환경에서는 정보가 여러 툴과 채널에 분산돼 있어 AI가 충분한 맥락을 반영하지 못하는 한계가 존재한다. 셀론은 이러한 문제를 해결해 개인과 팀 단위에서 실질적인 업무 생산성을 높이는 것을 목표로 한다.
장준하 대표는 “AI 성능은 모델뿐 아니라 어떤 정보를 어떻게 기억하고 활용하느냐에 달려 있다”며 “Memory.inc를 통해 AI가 더 잘 이해하고 더 나은 답을 내는 환경을 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

As the axis of AI competition shifts from 'model performance' to 'context understanding,' a startup has emerged to address this. Cellon, a developer of AI memory solutions, announced that it has secured seed investment from Primer and The Ventures.
Cellon is a company founded solely by CEO Jang Jun-ha at the age of 18, and has focused on solving real user problems based on his experience in product development and entrepreneurship over the past three years.
For AI, what it remembers determines its performance.
'Memory.inc', currently under development by Celon, is a 'memory layer' technology that connects data scattered across various services such as chat, documents, code, and email to help AI make more sophisticated responses and judgments.
It is characterized by a design that goes beyond simple storage to accumulate the context and flow of information, enabling the AI to retrieve appropriate data when needed and provide answers based on it. Through this, it aims for a structure where the basis for the AI's judgment is strengthened the more it is used.
In the current work environment, information is scattered across various tools and channels, presenting a limitation where AI cannot adequately reflect context. Cellon aims to solve this problem and enhance practical work productivity at both the individual and team levels.
CEO Jang Jun-ha stated, “AI performance depends not only on the model but also on what information is remembered and how it is utilized,” adding, “Through Memory.inc, we will create an environment where AI understands better and provides better answers.”
Based on this investment, Cellon plans to enhance product completeness and focus on building user experiences that are naturally integrated into actual workflows.
