[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 권순기 경남도교육감이 산청군을 방문해 폐교 활용 방안과 지역 교육 활성화 등 교육 현안을 논의했다.

경남도교육청은 권 교육감이 지난 31일 산청군청을 찾아 유명현 산청군수와 간담회를 갖고 학령인구 감소와 지방소멸 대응을 위한 교육·지역 상생 방안을 협의했다고 밝혔다.

이날 산청군은 지역 내 폐교 활용과 관련해 두 가지 안건을 건의했다. 첫 번째는 폐교를 활용한 초등 대안학교 유치다. 군은 활용 가능한 폐교를 교육시설로 재활용하고, 기존 간디중·고등학교와 지리산고등학교 등 지역 대안교육 자원과 연계해 초등 대안교육 기반을 구축하는 방안을 제안했다.
