▲ 전국생활체육대축전 주 개최지 김해서 나흘간 열전 마무리
[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] ‘2026 전국생활체육대축전’이 4일간의 일정을 마치고 26일 김해에서 막을 내렸다. 기록 경쟁보다 참여와 화합에 방점을 찍은 이번 대회는 전국 17개 시·도에서 모인 2만여 명의 선수단과 임원이 함께한 생활체육 중심 행사로 치러졌다.
대회는 지난 23일부터 경남 일원 62개 경기장에서 41개 종목으로 분산 개최됐으며, 주 개최지인 김해에서는 진영스포츠센터와 김해시민체육공원 축구장 등 14개 경기장에서 8개 종목 경기가 진행됐다.
선수들은 승패를 넘어 일상에서 갈고닦은 기량을 선보이며 교류와 화합의 장을 만들었다.
특히 이번 대회는 종합 순위를 집계하지 않는 운영 방식이 특징이다.
과도한 시·도 간 경쟁을 지양하고 생활체육 본연의 취지인 건강 증진과 국민 통합에 초점을 맞췄다는 점에서 기존 엘리트 체육 중심 대회와 차별성을 보였다.
