[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도가 배달노동자와 대리운전기사 등 플랫폼 노동자의 산재보험 가입을 확대하고 안전망을 강화하기 위해 ‘플랫폼 노동자 산재보험료 지원사업’을 새롭게 추진한다.
지원 대상은 경남에 주소를 둔 배달노동자와 대리운전기사로, 2025년 1월부터 12월까지 납부한 산재보험료 가운데 본인 부담금의 80%를 지원받을 수 있다. 지원 한도는 1인당 연간 최대 20만 원이다.
신청 기간은 7월 10일부터 31일까지이며, 경남도 누리집 바로서비스를 통해 온라인으로 접수할 수 있다. 도는 자격요건과 보험료 납부 여부 등을 확인한 뒤 지원 대상을 확정해 오는 11월 중 지원금을 지급할 예정이다.
이번 사업은 사고 위험이 높은 플랫폼 노동자들의 보험료 부담을 줄이고 산재보험 가입률을 높이기 위해 마련됐다. 플랫폼 노동자는 산재보험료를 중개업체와 절반씩 부담하고 있어 경제적 부담이 적지 않은 상황이다.
경남도는 사업 추진을 위해 지난 6월 경남투자경제진흥원, 근로복지공단, 국민건강보험공단과 업무협약을 체결했으며, 올해 사업 성과와 만족도 조사를 바탕으로 내년부터 지원 범위를 확대하는 방안도 검토할 계획이다.
김인수 경남도 경제통상국장은 “플랫폼 노동자의 경제적 부담을 덜고 안전한 노동환경을 조성하기 위해 처음 시행하는 사업”이라며 “산재보험 가입과 유지율을 높여 지역 사회안전망을 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
