[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도가 행정안전부 주관 정부합동평가에서 정량평가 전 지표를 달성하며 역대 최고 성과를 거뒀다.
경남도는 ‘2026년 지방자치단체 합동평가’에서 정량평가 96개 지표 모두 목표를 달성해 목표달성도 100%를 기록했다고 11일 밝혔다.
정부합동평가는 국가위임사무와 국고보조사업, 주요 국정과제 추진 실적 등을 종합 평가하는 정부 차원의 지방자치단체 평가 제도다.
경남도는 지난해 98.9%였던 정량평가 목표달성도를 올해 100%로 끌어올렸으며, 전국 평균인 96.52%를 웃도는 성적을 기록했다.
정성평가에서는 16개 지표 가운데 9건이 우수사례로 선정됐다. 주요 사례로는 도내 응급의료기관 35곳에 구축한 ‘응급실 경광등 알림 시스템’을 통한 응급환자 이송·수용체계 개선이 포함됐다.
국민이 직접 참여하는 국민평가 부문에서도 ‘지역 응급환자 이송·수용체계 개선 활동’이 우수사례로 선정됐다.
정성평가 우수사례는 청소년 참여 확대, 자전거 이용 활성화, 보훈문화 행사, 임신·출산 지원, 필수의료 강화, 탄소중립 정책, 자치경찰 시책 등 다양한 분야에서 나왔다.
김기영 경상남도 기획조정실장은 "평가 준비 과정에서 월별 실적 관리와 점검회의, 전문가 컨설팅, 시·군 협업체계 강화 등을 추진해 성과를 높였다"고 설명했다.
이번 결과는 정량·정성·국민평가 전 부문에서 우수 성과를 거둔 사례로, 경남도가 정부합동평가에서 전 분야 성과를 인정받은 것은 이번이 처음이다.

Gyeongsangnam-do has achieved its best performance ever by meeting all quantitative evaluation indicators in the Government Joint Evaluation organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 11th that it recorded a 100% achievement rate in the ‘2026 Local Government Joint Evaluation,’ having met the targets for all 96 quantitative evaluation indicators.
The Government Joint Evaluation is a government-level evaluation system for local governments that comprehensively assesses performance regarding delegated state affairs, state-subsidized projects, and the implementation of major national tasks.
Gyeongsangnam-do raised its quantitative evaluation target achievement rate from 98.9% last year to 100% this year, recording a score that surpassed the national average of 96.52%.
In the qualitative evaluation, 9 out of 16 indicators were selected as best practices. Outstanding cases in the qualitative evaluation emerged from various fields, including expanding youth participation, promoting bicycle use, veterans’ cultural events, support for pregnancy and childbirth, strengthening essential medical services, carbon neutrality policies, and autonomous police initiatives.
Kim Ki-young, Director General of the Planning and Coordination Office of Gyeongsangnam-do, explained, "During the evaluation preparation process, we enhanced performance by implementing monthly performance management, review meetings, expert consulting, and strengthening collaboration systems with cities and counties."
This result represents an instance of achieving outstanding results across all categories—quantitative, qualitative, and public evaluations—and marks the first time Gyeongsangnam-do has received recognition for its performance in all fields during a joint government evaluation.
