이번 사업은 창업 경험이 없는 도내 만 40세 이상 중장년층 예비 창업자를 대상으로 체계적인 준비 과정을 지원하여 창업 생존율을 높이기 위해 올해 처음으로 마련됐다.
선정된 교육생은 4주 동안 사업계획서 작성법, 창업 세무 및 법률 실습, 업종별 실습 등 실무 중심의 창업 역량 강화 교육을 받는다. 교육 기간에는 전문가 컨설팅이 함께 제공되어 개별 창업 준비 상태를 정밀하게 점검받을 수 있다.
경상원은 교육 수료생을 대상으로 실질적인 후속 지원도 이어나간다. 경쟁 오디션을 통해 선발된 우수 창업가 12명에게는 최대 1,000만 원의 사업화 지원금을 지급하며 홍보와 마케팅 지원도 병행한다. 또한 경기신용보증재단 보증 상품 이용 시 발생하는 이자 비용을 최대 100만 원까지 지원하여 금융 부담을 완화할 계획이다.
