Upbit’s Web3 infrastructure platform, GIWA, May 4 announced its participation in Consensus 2026, one of the world’s largest blockchain conferences, as part of its strategy to accelerate global expansion.
Held May 5–7 in Miami, Consensus brings together blockchain developers, policymakers and investors from around the world to explore the future of the industry.
At the event, GIWA will host a dedicated booth to introduce its Web3 ecosystem to a global audience of developers and partners. Built in integration with Upbit, a globally trusted digital asset exchange, GIWA aims to lower barriers to entry and deliver a secure, user-friendly Web3 infrastructure optimized for mass adoption.
During the conference, GIWA will also introduce GASOK, a developer support program designed to foster ecosystem growth. The initiative will provide selected decentralized application (dApp) projects with technical consulting and development funding. GIWA engineers will engage with global dApp developers during the conference to explain the GASOK program and encourage participation.
In addition, GIWA announced it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Optimism, a leading Ethereum Layer 2 network. Under the agreement, the two parties will explore ways to collaborate on enhancing infrastructure, including stable sequencer operations and backup systems, while sharing engineering resources and global partner networks to support technological advancement and ecosystem expansion.
“Consensus 2026 provides an important platform to showcase GIWA’s technology and vision to a global audience,” Minseok Jung, Upbit COO said. “We look forward to deepening engagement with developers worldwide and building a Web3 ecosystem that is both globally competitive and accessible to all.”
