Samyang Foods announced on May 11 that it participated in ‘KCON JAPAN 2026,’ held from May 8 to 10 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, and successfully operated its Buldak brand booth, ‘Buldak Mart.’
Samyang Japan, the local subsidiary of Samyang Foods in Japan, showcased a ‘Buldak Mart’ booth at the event, themed around the Han River convenience store, one of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks. The space recreated a convenience store atmosphere, giving visitors the opportunity to experience Korea’s unique food culture.
At the booth, the company gave an advance preview of ‘Swaicy Buldak Bokkeummyeon,’ a new product set to launch locally in Japan this summer. Swaicy Buldak Bokkeummyeon is characterized by combining the distinctive spiciness of Buldak sauce with the sweetness of caramel.
The booth also sold KCON JAPAN 2026 limited-edition products, including Buldak Bokkeummyeon and MEP, while hosting a sampling event for ‘Buldak Potato Chip 4 Cheese Flavor,’ which has been gaining popularity in Japan.
A Samyang Foods representative said, “KCON Japan is a representative event where Japanese consumers can experience K-culture alongside K-food,” adding, “We will continue to expand our touchpoints with global consumers through differentiated content and experiential marketing unique to the buldak brand.”
