According to related industry sources on April 28, the Seoul Administrative Court’s 6th Administrative Division ruled partially in favor of the plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by Netflix Services Korea against the head of the Jongno District Tax Office and others seeking cancellation of the imposition of corporate tax and other charges.
The lawsuit began after the National Tax Service imposed taxes worth about W8.0 billion on Netflix Services Korea through a tax audit in 2021. The amount was later adjusted to W76.2 billion ($52.27 million) through the Tax Tribunal.
