LG H&H Q1 net income down 14.3 pct to 88.7 bln won
SEOUL, April 30 (Yonhap) -- LG Household & Health Care Co. (LG H&H) on Thursday reported a first-quarter net income of 88.7 billion won (US$59.7 million), down 14.3 percent from a year earlier.
The cosmetics and household goods company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 107.8 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 142.4 billion won a year ago. Revenue fell 7.1 percent to 1.57 trillion won.
Operating profit was 111.9 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The estimate of net profit was not available.
