LG Chem will participate in Interpack 2026, to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany for seven days beginning on May 7.

Interpack is Europe’s largest professional exhibition for the packaging industry. This year, the event is expected to attract more than 2,500 participating companies from approximately 60 countries, along with over 170,000 visitors.

Under the theme “Material-driven. Redefining Packaging Standards,” LG Chem will showcase its UNIQABLE™ technology — an ultra-thin packaging film material that achieves a world-class thickness of 14μm (micrometers). The company will also present a diverse product lineup and portfolio, including UNIQABLE samples that have been developed to a thickness of up to 12μm with equivalent material properties.

UNIQABLE is a packaging solution that enables customers to design material properties — including processability, strength, sealing stability, and moisture barrier performance — from the material stage in a customized manner to match the packaging conditions of their desired products. It is primarily used as a packaging material across a wide range of consumer goods, including food, pet food, and household product packaging.

UNIQABLE is an innovative material that maintains physical properties equivalent to conventional multi-material composite packaging films while enhancing recyclability through a single polyethylene (PE) material, simultaneously satisfying both sustainability and high functionality.

LG Chem’s UNIQABLE has been drawing significant attention in the packaging industry for its downgauging technology, which reduces material thickness to achieve lightweighting.

At this exhibition, LG Chem plans to introduce real-world commercialization cases, including a kitchen detergent pouch from LG H&H made with UNIQABLE material and packaging for flagship products from major domestic food companies.
