KOGAS Q1 net profit up 49.3 pct to 548.3 bln won
SEOUL, May 13 (Yonhap) -- Korea Gas Corp. (KOGAS), South Korea's state-run gas utility, on Wednesday reported its first-quarter net profit of 548.3 billion won (US$366.7 million), up a solid 49.3 percent from a year earlier.
The energy company also said in a regulatory filing that it posted 910 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 833.9 billion won a year ago. Revenue, on the other hand, fell 7.3 percent to 11.8 trillion won.
