Trading firm Jane Street has committed approximately US$7 billion to CoreWeave, including a $6 billion agreement for cloud computing services and a separate $1 billion equity investment, underscoring surging demand for AI infrastructure.
The equity investment was made at $109 per share, representing a 7% discount to CoreWeave’s most recent closing price. Following the deal, Jane Street’s total stake in the Nvidia-backed cloud company is expected to rise to around $1.44 billion, making it one of the company’s largest shareholders.
The agreement marks CoreWeave’s third major deal in a single week. Earlier, the company announced a multi-year capacity agreement with Anthropic and an expanded $21 billion infrastructure deal with Meta.
The company plans to spend up to $35 billion this year on data center expansion, chip procurement, and power infrastructure, despite carrying more than $14 billion in long-term debt.
