HD Hyundai XiteSolution, Kakao Mobility target unmanned logistics

HD Hyundai XiteSolution Ltd. and Kakao Mobility Corp. have joined forces to target the unmanned logistics market.

HD Hyundai XiteSolution, the intermediate holding company for HD Hyundai Group’s construction equipment business, said Tuesday it signed a strategic agreement with Kakao Mobility on Monday to build a next-generation unmanned logistics and physical artificial intelligence ecosystem.

Under the partnership, the companies will develop an intelligent logistics execution platform, combining HD Hyundai XiteSolution’s expertise in autonomous industrial vehicles, including unmanned forklifts and logistics site control systems, with Kakao Mobility’s platform capabilities.

The goal is to create an integrated system linking equipment, platforms and data into a unified framework. HD Hyundai XiteSolution said this would reduce operational inefficiencies and delays stemming from fragmented data across processes.

The companies plan to carry out joint demonstration and technology validation tests later this year to assess real-world applicability in logistics environments.
