GT SCIEN (CEO Yeon Kyun Kang) announced its participation in ‘KOREA LAB 2026 (The 20th International Research·Laboratory & Advanced Analytical Equipment Exhibition),’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan for four days from March 31 (Tue) to April 4 (Fri).
Established in 2008, GT SCIEN specializes in safety solutions that protect laboratory workers from harmful gases. The company manufactures harmful-gas purification devices directly using its independently developed ‘TOGA Filter’ technology. Recently, it established an integrated management system covering all areas of Environment (E), Health (H), and Safety (S) through its ‘AIoT EHS Platform,’ which combines Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The core philosophy of GT SCIEN is based on the principle that “the best measure for safety is prevention, and the best method for prevention is management.” The AIoT EHS Platform, to be showcased at this exhibition, organically connects smart laboratory management devices, reagent cabinets, and purification units to enable real-time monitoring and automatic control.
At this exhibition, GT SCIEN proposes a ‘Lab Total Solution’ that allows researchers to focus solely on their research. Furthermore, the company plans to provide a space where visitors can directly experience the entire smart lab process, from automatic recording solutions that reduce cumbersome manual tasks to management devices that maintain pleasant air quality without requiring separate controls.
The main lineup, ‘Smart Lab Mate AI,’ predicts risks that may arise when using chemical substances, reducing the likelihood of worker illness, and tracks movement history. Additionally, ‘Smart Lab Sensor AI’ plays a key role in the Laboratory Safety Prevention Management System (LSPMS) by detecting harmful gas concentrations and automatically operating remote purification devices.
In particular, the AIoT reagent cabinets and harmful gas purification devices equipped with the TOGA filter—which holds domestic and international patents—completely remove harmful gases within a fully sealed structure. The AIoT fume hood, in which lamps and fans operate automatically based on the reagent type, eliminating the need for manual checks by researchers, maximizes user convenience and safety.
GT SCIEN’s solutions have already proven their utility in various domestic and international fields.
In the education and public institution sectors, the company supplies platforms to major educational institutions, including Gangneung-Wonju National University and Yonsei University, as well as the National Institute of Chemical Safety, the Yeongsan River Water Environment Research Institute, and the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency. These implementations have achieved results that simultaneously increase laboratory safety and administrative efficiency by monitoring chemical storage status in real time, tracking history, and automatically recording temperatures.
In the research and industrial sectors, GT SCIEN has implemented data-driven safety management in high-risk environments by supplying AIoT fume hoods and hazardous-gas purification devices to government-funded institutions, including the FITI Testing & Research Institute and the Korea Institute of Drug Research & Testing.
For pharmaceutical companies like Dongwha Pharm and Dong-A Pharmaceutical, the introduction of AIoT reagent cabinets, harmful gas purifiers, refrigerated reagent cabinets, and Smart Lab Sensor AI is helping raise the level of chemical safety management in drug development and manufacturing processes, aiding the establishment of smart R&D environments.
Furthermore, for advanced materials and chemical companies such as Korea Precursor, Samyang Corporation, POSCO, and Korea Zinc, the company supplies AIoT EHS platform servers and safety equipment to establish laboratory air quality management, chemical usage history, and inventory management systems, thereby strengthening company-wide safety capabilities and inventory management.
GT SCIEN is currently exporting to various countries, including Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, France, Hungary, and Oman.
Recently, the company established a bridgehead into the U.S. market, the world’s largest, by signing a product supply contract with a university in Texas. Additionally, it disseminated Korean-style smart laboratory technology to the Vietnam Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) and built a local showroom. It is also drawing attention as a safety standard model for developing countries, with the introduction of safety management systems at a chemical R&D center in Uzbekistan. In the Japanese market, the excellence of the TOGA filter has been recognized, leading to continuous demo requests and adoptions.
KOREA LAB 2026, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is a B2B trade exhibition covering research, laboratory analysis, and biotechnology. Held concurrently with KOREA PACK & ICPI WEEK 2026, this exhibition will showcase laboratory basics, laboratory safety, measurement and analysis, life science research equipment for bio, life, pharmaceutical, and food facilities, R&D convergence technology devices and equipment, and water quality, air, and environmental technology industries and research facilities.
