DataStreams, a provider of intelligent data platform solutions, has been selected as a ‘2026 KB Technology Excellence Company’ after being recognized for its technical capabilities and business execution capacity in KB Kookmin Bank’s technology credit evaluation.

KB Kookmin Bank’s technology credit evaluation is a system that comprehensively assesses a company’s technological level, commercialization capability, and growth potential. The evaluation is used as an objective indicator to verify the competitiveness and credibility of technology-driven companies.

DataStreams said it was highly rated in this evaluation for its core data technologies required in the AI era, its experience in executing projects across various industries, and its ongoing research and development achievements. The company added that the differentiation of its “AI Ready” data technologies and its portfolio of data-related patents were also key factors in the assessment.

A company official stated that the selection reflects recognition not only of the originality of its technologies but also of their practical business viability in line with the growth of the AI data market. In other words, the evaluation emphasized not only the possession of technology but also its potential for real-world application.

DataStreams has been supporting data-driven innovation across both public and private sectors, based on its expertise in intelligent data fabric, data integration and analytics, and data governance. Recently, the company said it has been accelerating efforts to advance AI utilization and related technologies, focusing on strengthening next-generation capabilities that combine data and AI.

Lee Young-sang, CEO of DataStreams, said the selection represents a meaningful recognition of the company’s position as a leading provider of intelligent data platforms, which are becoming increasingly important with the rise of AI. He added that the company will continue to pursue technological development and innovation to expand its presence in the data industry.

The selection is significant in that DataStreams was evaluated across multiple dimensions—including technical capability, patents, industrial application experience, and R&D performance—within the financial sector’s technology credit assessment framework. The company demonstrated competitiveness across a broad range of data infrastructure capabilities, including data fabric, integration and analytics, governance, and AI enablement.
