26년 연속 최우수 공예도시 김해…공예품대전 대상에 ‘가야의 찻자리’

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 경남 김해시 공예품대전 대상에 예인요 임용택 작가의 ‘가야의 찻자리’가 선정됐다.

김해도예협회는 제22회 김해시 공예품대전 심사 결과 ‘가야의 찻자리’를 대상으로 선정했다고 21일 밝혔다.

이번 대전에는 목·칠과 도자, 금속, 섬유, 종이 등 6개 분야에서 총 64점이 출품됐다. 심사를 거쳐 대상 1명을 비롯해 금상 2명, 은상 2명, 동상 2명 등 총 20명의 수상자가 선정됐다.

김해시 공예품대전은 전통 공예기술 보존과 지역 공예산업 활성화를 위해 2005년부터 열리고 있다. 지역 공예인 발굴과 창작 활동 기반 확대를 위한 대표 공예 행사로 자리 잡고 있다는 평가다.

특히 김해시는 경남도 공예품대전에서 26년 연속 최우수 기관에 선정되며 지역 공예 경쟁력을 이어가고 있다. 시는 유네스코 공예·민속예술 창의도시 지정 이후 공예문화 도시 브랜드 강화에도 힘을 쏟고 있다.

수상작은 오는 22일부터 24일까지 김해문화의전당 제1전시실에서 무료로 전시된다.

The Gimhae Ceramic Association announced on the 21st that ‘Tea Table of Gaya’ was selected as the Grand Prize winner following the judging of the 22nd Gimhae Craft Exhibition.

A total of 64 entries were submitted to this exhibition across six categories: wood and lacquerware, ceramics, metalwork, textiles, and paper. Following the judging process, a total of 20 winners were selected, including one Grand Prize winner, two Gold Medalists, two Silver Medalists, and two Bronze Medalists.

The Gimhae Craft Exhibition has been held since 2005 to preserve traditional craft techniques and revitalize the local craft industry. It is recognized as a representative craft event aimed at discovering local artisans and expanding the foundation for creative activities. In particular, Gimhae City continues to demonstrate its regional craft competitiveness by being selected as the best institution at the Gyeongnam Craft Exhibition for 26 consecutive years.
