한전KDN은 지난 18일 광주·전남공동혁신도시 소재 본사 대회의실에서 ‘2026년 제1차 ESG추진단 회의’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
한전KDN은 급변하는 국제 경영 환경 속에서 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조)를 단순한 의무 준수 사항이 아닌 기업의 핵심 경쟁력으로 인식하고 있다. 이에 따라 실질적인 성과를 도출하고자 CEO를 단장으로 하는 ‘ESG추진단’을 운영 중이다.
ESG추진단은 전략 수립부터 실적 점검까지 전 과정을 총괄하며 환경, 사회, 거버넌스, 대외협력 등 4개 핵심 부문으로 나뉘어 ESG 가치를 조직 전반에 확산시키는 역할을 하고 있다.
이날 회의에서는 지속가능경영보고서 발간 10주년을 맞아 그간의 성과를 되짚어보고, 국제 기준에 부합하는 공시 체계 강화와 지속가능경영시스템 국제 표준 인증 취득을 통해 대외 신뢰도를 한층 제고한다는 방침을 공유했다.
한전KDN은 지난 2017년부터 지속가능경영보고서를 발간해 왔으며, 올해 10주년 기념 특별판에는 공공기관 ESG 가이드라인 37개 지표를 반영한 ‘이중중대성 평가’를 도입해 12대 핵심 이슈 도출에 집중할 예정이다. 특히 국제 공시 기준 및 정부 ESG 표준 지침과의 정합성을 충실히 확보하는 것은 물론, 나주시·한국전력공사·초록우산어린이재단 등 핵심 이해관계자와의 특별 인터뷰를 통해 지난 10년간의 ESG 여정을 다양한 시각에서 조명할 계획이다.
