파주시와 파주시노인복지관이 지난 22일 성매매집결지 내 교육공간인 성평등파주 전람회장에서 성평등기금 사업의 일환인 영자야 노래하자 중창단 창단식을 개최했다.

이번 사업은 2026년 파주시 성평등기금의 지원을 받아 추진되는 프로그램이며 파주 연풍리에 거주하는 어르신들이 문화예술 활동을 통해 빛나는 노년이 일상이 되는 공동체를 조성하고, 사회참여를 확대하는 것을 주요 목적으로 삼고 있다.
창단식에는 중창단원 15명과 김은숙 복지정책국장, 육언태 파주시노인복지관장 등 관계자들이 참석해 자리를 빛냈고 행사는 프로그램 안내와 축하 메시지 전달, 단체사진 촬영 순으로 이어졌다.
공식 행사 이후에는 단원들이 서로를 알아가는 친교의 시간과 함께 지휘자 및 반주자의 지도 아래 첫 연습이 진행됐으며 단원들은 개별 음역대를 확인하고 성부를 정하며 중창단으로서의 첫발을 내디뎠다.
연습에 참여한 어르신들은 자신의 음색을 새롭게 발견하는 즐거움을 표하며 앞으로의 공연에 대한 기대감을 나타냈다.
