【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청이 8월 31일 광주여대유니버시아드체육관에서 개막한 제16회 전국상업경진대회에 도내 13개교 학생 137명이 충북 대표로 출전해 전국의 상업계열 학생들과 열띤 선의의 경쟁을 펼친다고 밝혔다.
전국 16개 시·도교육청이 공동 주최하고 전남광주통합특별시교육청이 주관하는 이번 대회는 8월 31일부터 9월 2일까지 사흘간 광주여대유니버시아드체육관과 광주여자상업고등학교, 전남여자상업고등학교에서 개최된다. 전국에서 학생 선수 1,600여 명을 포함해 지도교사와 임원 등 총 2,200여 명이 참가하는 이번 행사는 상업계열 학생들이 실무 역량을 겨루며 미래 직업인으로서의 기량을 키우는 대표적인 직업교육 행사다.
충북 대표 선수단은 지난 6월 열린 제16회 충북상업경진대회를 거쳐 최종 선발됐다. 학생들은 그동안 종목별 심화학습과 실전 응용 훈련을 거치며 대회 준비에 만전을 기해왔다. 대회는 회계실무, 창업실무, 사무행정, 금융실무, 비즈니스프로그래밍 등 12개 경진 종목과 창업동아리 엑스포, 경제골든벨 등 4개 경연 종목으로 진행되며, 충북 참가자들은 전 종목에 걸쳐 그간 다져온 기량을 선보이게 된다.
