Chungbuk Development Corporation Holds ‘Clean Osong Plogging Day’ in Osong 2nd Life Science Complex
On August 14, the Osong Business Unit of the Chungbuk Development Corporation held the ‘Clean Osong Plogging Day’ in the Osong 2nd Life Science Complex area, joining hands with local residents to cultivate a pleasant village environment.
This event was organized to improve the living environment of the Osong 2nd Life Science Complex, which was directly developed by the Corporation, and to identify and address various inconveniences experienced by residents through direct on-site communication.
Participating in the event were local residents and employees of the Chungbuk Development Corporation Osong Business Unit, who engaged in plogging activities to collect discarded trash while walking along major roads, parks, and residential areas within the complex.
In particular, this program held added significance as it was conducted as a participatory community co-prosperity project that went beyond a one-time cleaning activity to directly listen to residents' voices on-site. During the plogging event, participants meticulously inspected facilities in need of improvement in their daily lives, including areas of illegal waste dumping, damaged roads and sidewalk blocks, pedestrian hazards, nighttime streetlight safety, the condition of parks and green spaces, and sections with poor drainage.
The head of the Osong Project Group at the Chungbuk Development Corporation emphasized that the corporation's role does not end with the construction of the industrial complex; rather, the true duty of a public enterprise is to examine and resolve the inconveniences experienced by residents living there even after completion. He stated that, using this plogging event as a starting point, they would continue to expand communicative community co-prosperity activities that involve direct interaction with residents on-site.
