【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=진천군 진천읍 지역사회보장협의체가 관내 취약계층의 건강을 보호하고 안전한 생활 환경을 조성하기 위해 '커뮤니티 쉴드' 방역사업을 본격 추진한다.
이번 사업은 주거 위생 상태가 열악한 취약계층 가정을 대상으로 맞춤형 방역 서비스를 제공해 해충과 바이러스 등 위해 요소를 차단하고, 쾌적하고 위생적인 보금자리를 지원하고자 마련됐다.
지원 대상은 진천읍에 거주하는 취약계층 10가구로 설정됐다. 협의체는 대상 가구를 직접 방문해 방역물품 꾸러미를 전달하는 한편, 오는 12월까지 격월 단위로 총 3회에 걸쳐 전문 방역 서비스를 지속적으로 제공할 방침이다. 이와 함께 정기적인 방문을 병행해 주거환경 위험 요소를 점검하고 대상자들의 안부를 살피며 밀착형 복지 안전망을 구축해 나간다.
현장에서 사업을 이끈 협의체 관계자는 건강과 안전은 주민들의 행복한 삶을 지키기 위한 가장 핵심적인 기본 요소라며, 이번 방역 지원 활동이 취약계층의 실질적인 주거환경을 개선하고 지역사회의 돌봄망을 더욱 촘촘하게 엮어주는 계기가 되기를 기대한다고 밝혔다.
한편 진천읍 지역사회보장협의체는 이에 앞서 진행한 위생·건강관리 상담사업을 통해 복지 사각지대 가구의 위생 상태와 건강을 점검한 바 있으며, 이번 사업을 연계해 취약계층의 주거 환경 개선을 지속해서 이끌어갈 계획이다.
