이번 교육은 아동의 성장 과정에서 자연스럽게 발생하는 성에 대한 궁금증을 해소하고, 부모와 자녀가 올바른 성 가치관을 공유함으로써 건강한 가족관계를 형성할 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
전문 강사를 초빙해 진행된 이번 특강에서는 사춘기 자녀의 신체적·정서적 변화 및 심리적 특성에 대한 이해, 자녀의 발달 단계에 맞춘 성교육 지도법, 부모와 자녀 간 효과적인 성 관련 의사소통 방식 등 실질적인 내용들이 다루어졌다. 특히 부모가 자녀의 변화를 성장의 자연스러운 과정으로 수용하고, 자녀의 눈높이에 맞춰 솔직하고 건강하게 대화하는 구체적인 방안을 익히는 데 중점을 뒀다.
