To coincide with the summer vacation, Jeungpyeong County has partnered with the Convergence Education Research Institute of Korea National University of Education to present an EdTech program at Jeungpyeong Creative Park that caters to all generations, from children to seniors.
Jeungpyeong County announced that it planned this experiential education program to advance the "Jeungpyeong EdTech Valley"—a core project of the Special Education Development Zone and the Chungbuk Regional Growth Talent Cultivation System Project—and to realize a future AI education city.
The program will fully introduce "AI Pledo," an AI education platform that combines analog blocks with tablet PCs. It is designed to allow students to naturally learn digital technology through block assembly and tablet integration, thereby boosting their creativity and critical thinking skills.
"AI Picture Book Making," targeting elementary school students in grades 1 through 4, will be held every Wednesday morning from July 29 to August 19. Participating students will use AI to create their own picture books and develop literacy skills by reading newspaper articles from various fields and completing activity sheets.
**Jeungpyeong County Offers Free AI-Based EdTech Education for All** Following this, the ‘Autobiography Program’ for seniors will be held every Thursday morning from July 30 to August 20. Participants will reflect on their past lives to compose stories and complete their own digital autobiographies by utilizing AI technology to bring text and images to life. With step-by-step guidance provided by professional instructors, anyone can easily participate regardless of their familiarity with digital devices, and the course is entirely free of charge.
In an interview, an official from Jeungpyeong County emphasized that through this program, they plan to further strengthen support for educational infrastructure for future generations of children and significantly expand the scope of lifelong education for seniors.
