주민참여예산제도는 자치단체의 예산 과정에 주민이 직접 참여해 지방재정 운영의 투명성과 공정성을 높이고, 예산 배분의 민주성을 확보하기 위한 제도다.
공모 대상은 전남도 전역에 파급효과를 미칠 수 있는 주민 복리 증진 및 지역 발전 사업이다. 제안 분야에 제한은 없으며 ▲기획·사회 ▲행정·환경 ▲경제·관광·문화 ▲건설·소방 ▲농·수산 등 행정 전 분야에 걸쳐 아이디어를 낼 수 있다.
신청 자격은 전남도에 주소를 두고 있거나, 전남 소재 직장에 다니는 사람이라면 누구나 가능하다. 접수된 제안은 담당 부서의 사업 타당성 검토와 주민참여예산위원회의 심사 등을 거쳐 2027년 예산안에 반영될 최종 사업으로 선정될 예정이다.
